Keithley 485 Picoammeter

The Keithley 485 is an auto-ranging Picoammeter developed by Keithley. It is an easy-to-use, affordable, and highly sensitive instrument. This model has a flexible input which can withstand exceptionally high overloads. Its range is up to 1000V. This model is viable in many applications of student labs and in test research. The input current is changed into the voltage by an analog output for control loop applications. The input voltage drop of the Keithley Model 485 is actively controlled by feedback techniques. As a result, it provides current measurements with high precision. This model can provide precise current measurements in circuits with low source voltages.

The Keithley 485 Autoranging Picoammeter is equipped with different features for measuring low current. The REL button provides relative readings to the baseline. The LOG button is used to change the display into the logarithm (base 10). It provides the value of the measured current. The Keithley 485 Picoammeter can perform digital calibration through the front panel. It can also perform it over the bus. It is structured with a 100-point data store buffer. This model can collect and store measurements at one of six reading rates from 3/s to 1/hr. It can also do so with the STORE button manually.  The lowest and most extreme readings are continuously updated at 3/s in the data store mode.

The Keithley 485 offers 100 fA sensitivity with 4.5 digit resolution. This model is featured with the STO/KLR button, which is an inner part of the data storage function. This button helps execute and terminate the data store operation and assists with choosing the storage rate.
